W. Graeme Roustan was a live guest on today’s BNN Bloomberg Morning Markets.
“It’s the (uncertainty) of the whole situation,” said Roustan in regard to proposed U.S. tariffs. “All of my NHL customers in the U.S., the NHL teams in the U.S. who have been buying sticks from us for 30, 40, 50 years, are asking the same questions.”
Roustan told host Paul Bagnell that Roustan Sports has manufactured and delivered more than 100 million hockey sticks to North Americans since the year 1900.
Despite the tariff uncertainty, Roustan said his sales to the domestic Canadian market have doubled between January and March “because (people) want to support Canada, they want to support a Canadian company and they’re stepping up and buying Canadian-made hockey sticks.”
