The Hockey News has launched the trailer for the documentary film 6 Days in Ukraine: The War on Hockey.
The short film chronicles W. Graeme Roustan’s fall 2023 tour of the nation, which has seen hockey rink facilities damaged or destroyed during the ongoing war with Russia.
Roustan, the owner and publisher of The Hockey News, was granted exclusive access by the Ukrainian government which provided security as the documentary team found themselves just a few kilometres from the front lines.
“I believe that both hockey and life in Ukraine are reflective of each other in that they will be back stronger than before,” said Roustan. “They just need the help of hockey players and people from around the world who believe in their right to play hockey in freedom.”
