W. Graeme Roustan Congratulates New Owner of the Ottawa Senators

W. Graeme Roustan, who led a group comprised of Ontario First Nations communities in an ownership bid for the NHL’s Ottawa Senators, has congratulated the winners of the bid process.

The board of directors of Senators Sports & Entertainment announced today that an entity controlled by Michael Andlauer has entered into an agreement to purchase 90 per cent and operational control of the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club.

“Michael Andlauer is a friend of mine as well as a friend to all hockey fans due to his commitment to the game we all love,” said Roustan. “Michael will be a great owner of the Sens and an even better leader in the community.

“Though I didn’t prevail, I’m donating 1,000 hockey sticks as my way to thank Anna and Olivia Melnyk and the Trustee of the Estate of Eugene Melnyk, Sheldon Plener, for allowing me to be in the process to acquire the Senators.”
